VEGAN TOFUNESA

Today at Way To Zero Waste we bring you the perfect healthy vegan snack, using only local and plastic-free products. Just like other dishes like hummus, this vegan tofune can be eaten on its own or you can add it to some of your recipes and dishes.



Vegan mayonnaise has tofu as its main ingredient, a food rich in protein and unsaturated fats. You can find it in glass jars in stores that support the zero waste movement.


On the other hand, garlic also takes on a great role in the flavor, besides being delicious it is also incredibly good for our health, as it is rich in antioxidants, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6 ... and low in calories!


A super simple dish to make and easy to surprise. It can be served in different ways: with baked potatoes, vegetables,.... We have served it with small pieces of raw carrot and cucumber, it is delicious!



INGREDIENTS:


  • 200g of tofu (packed in glass or degradable/compostable materials)

  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 garlic

  • Pinch of salt

  • Pepper






STEPS:


  1. Add the tofu in a bowl with a splash of water and blend it.

  2. Once the tofu is well mashed, add the rest of the ingredients and blend again.

  3. Finally, we serve the sauce in a bowl and add a dash of oil and pepper to serve it.

  4. You can add some carrot or cucumber crudités to your mayonnaise.
